My Super Easy Tuna Sandwich

For a quick and easy yet healthy snack to prepare, I have this one thing in mind…Tuna Sandwich!!! These is one of the great foodstuffs for my family on weekdays and for hubby’s packed snack for work; or even have it some on weekends for lunch.

This recipe can be made in many different ways depending on what ingredients available in your kitchen. I made it simply by adding melting cheese. Since I find my canned tuna salty, I added a little sugar to balanced the taste. I usually do this when everybody is in a hurry! Try it ‘coz it’s simply easy as 1, 2, 3! Really delicious!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of tuna (180g) – (I’m using San Marino corned tuna)
  • Sliced bread
  • 2 tablespoons cheese (grated or sliced in cube)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 or more tablespoon butter (for the sliced bread)
  • 1/ 2 teaspoon granulated white sugar, to taste

Procedure for Tuna Sandwich:

1. Open a can of tuna and drain the oil.
2. Place corned tuna in a clean bowl.
3. Add the mayonnaise and the cheese. Add a little sugar to taste. Mix well. Set aside.
4. Toast the sliced bread. Once done, spread it with butter.
5. Spread the toasted bread with the tuna mixture. Close the sandwich by putting the other toasted bread on top of everything. (Do the same to make larger serving. Just top alternately).
6. Slice and serve

Note: You can also make it by spreading tuna mixture directly on slice bread but for me, I enjoyed eating it with buttered tosted breads.

Makes 8-10 slices depending on size.
